As a graduate of Dallas Christians School and Abilene Christian University (B.A. 2009, M.A. Missions 2012) I understand the nuances of what makes a Christian school such a uniquely important part of the foundation formation of young people. The above film represents that at its core.
You have Stories that matter
As a school that cares more about people than metrics you know the stories that are shaping the lives of the young people and their families as a part of the work you do. As a film director my primary skill is in drawing out the best parts of those stories and the emotion behind them that enables us to create a video that leaves a lasting impact. The above film represents that beautifully.

In todays world of oversaturated media, consumers will simply move on from anything that isn’t up to the quality standards they have come to expect from their favorite TV shows and movies. In order to have the kind of impact you need for this project, the quality has to be of the highest caliber.
In particular, individuals of a high net worth will have a keen eye and low tolerance for poor quality filmmaking. Anything less than top quality will have an extremely high bounce rate. Above is an example of a project that had the full team working together to deliver top quality.
A video like this would go a long way to show off the fact that you aren’t just a “church school.”
Building it quickly - Ad strategy
There are 3 primary ways to advertise on YouTube. We will be focusing on the first two: In Display Ads and In Stream-Skippable Ads.
For general audience building, In Display Ads are the best way to grow an audience. These show up in the form of “suggested videos” when someone is searching for or viewing similar content to your videos are about.
Display Ads can cost as low as $0.03 per view. Average cost of most ads is closer to $0.10-$0.30 per view but ranges based off of selected keywords and the competitiveness of those keywords. We have been successful at achieving as low as $0.05 per view, but costs vary based on targeted keywords.
For the highest number of views, we find In Steam-Skippable Ads to work best. We have had a 35% retention rate on skippable ads for videos as long as 25 minutes similar to your “fireside chats.” The trouble is, it’s harder to convert these into subscribers. In Display Ads generally work better for that purpose.
This part of the budget is completely up to you and done at your own pace. We take a 20% service fee for targeting your ads and the rest goes directly towards your Google ad spend.
Good - $500/month - 1500-10,000 highly targeted paid views (plus organic views)
Better - $1500/month - 4500-30,000 highly targeted paid views (plus organic views)
Best - $3000/month - 9000-60,000 highly targeted paid views (plus organic views)
The best part about this is that we can directly target viewers of the videos of schools you are most highly competitive with.

Jordan’s rise to prominence in the film-making industry will help give wisdom and council to the Verica team as they go about doing the same thing in the world of Chaos Engineering.
The Film Mavericks team is a production team made up of diverse skill sets. As each project is formed, a team is selected within our company based on the specific needs and budget of the project. Our bigger projects have a larger team including:
A director who gives full attention to the vision and content that will drive the story.
A Director of Photography who will focus their attention on lighting and composition that supports the director’s vision of the project.
An audio technician who will make sure that the audio is crisp, clean and resonant.
Additional camera operator(s).
A lead editor who works alongside the director to shape the vision into the final story.
A colorist and audio engineer to polish every detail of the final version of the film.
The Budget
Fundraising Dinner Video - $3,500
This will be an interview based video sharing the stories of impact that a Christian education has had on some of your alumni. Filmed in the quality and style of the “Ministry Stories” video posted above.
Includes a team of 4 for one full day of filming.
About BCS Video - $7,000
This will be a documentary short style video that gives a robust picture of what BCS is all about. In this video we will share the stories of what a multigenerational, Christian education really means and what it looks like in practice. We will not only show off the quality of students, faculty/staff and facilities, but engage the viewer in an emotional experience that leaves them feeling a heart level connection with the school.
This is the film that turns website viewers into a BCS family.
This includes 1 full day and 2 half days filming with a team of 4. This schedule will allow some flexibility with timing to capture more of the diversity of what happens throughout a school year.
YouTube Advertisements - 20% of your Ad Spend budget
We will develop and maintain your ad, sticking to a strict budget that you set. We will also provide access to realtime results numbers.
